Meaningful impact, community led.
Projet Fiondo began with a simple goal: to help local leaders identify and mobilize their community’s existing assets, skills, talents, and social connections for long-term, sustainable development. This work includes:
+
Improving access to education
+
Developing skills training programs
+
Implementing agricultural and entrepreneurship projects

Building strong foundations through learning
We are working to ensure every child can attend school, regardless of their family’s socioeconomic status.

Empowering young people with practical tools for success
We are developing vocational training programs that help local entrepreneurs generate stable livelihoods and reinvest.

Maximizing existing assets for long-term positive impact
We are partnering with local government and community leaders to thoughtfully steward the land and its resources.

A memorable Christmas in Mande
Thanks to the support of generous friends, family, and corporate sponsors in 2025, Projet Fiondo hosted Mande’s first-ever Christmas Eve movie night and Christmas Day meal with activities for about 300 local children and youth. On Christmas Eve, the community gathered in the local church and watched the Jesus film in the local dialect of Tshiluba.

“
My mother saw learning as our best path out of poverty. I’m honoured to continue her legacy by helping young people get the tools they need to thrive.”
